While researching my graduate thesis, I uncovered a number of different large scale research reports on the topic of arts, culture, and technology. This information wasn’t easy to find because, to the best of my knowledge, there isn’t an organization or website aggregating all of this material. Hopefully this post will serve anyone looking for more information in this area. Each report focuses on a particular area of interest.

Arts & I.T.: Technology Adoption and Implementation in Arts Organizations (2010)

This report includes information regarding 466 arts and cultural organizations from a broad spectrum of artistic disciplines, organizational types, and operational budget sizes. Respondents reside mostly within the United States and Canada.

Audience 2.0 examines how Americans participate in the arts via electronic and digital media. This new report is based on the NEA’s 2008 Survey of Public Participation in the Arts, which asked more than 18,000 adults about their participation in various arts activities over a one-year period.

Culture Track 2011
